Took a lot of pictures, but it would take days to do the Grand Canyon justice. Very smoky, there was a controlled burn in the area, but there are also multiple wildfires. Helicopters were doing fire suppression all day, flying over the canyon.
Early day driving to Page AZ tomorrow so just a few pictures tonight.
Elk were all over the place, just ambling around ignoring the tourists. I did see one guy about five feet from a big one, taking a picture, just a glimpse as I went by in the shuttle bus. I asked a driver later if there had been any incidents this year, he said he hadn’t heard of any, so I guess no tourists have been curb-stomped by an elk, but, man, that one dude was asking for it. If I see anything in the news, I’ll know who it was. (I was in the bus when I took that picture. )
